The Clark County public school system is pretty big as far as school districts go and, in many cases, is underfunded. Some students and their families struggle at times to provide the basics needed for classroom learning: notebooks, backpacks, calculators and the like. Teachers and textbooks certainly do help to educate your children, but without these tools it can be pretty tough for students to succeed. As a long time member of the Las Vegas community, Dr. Hadley has taken it upon himself to give a helping hand.
Dropbox for School Supplies for Local Elementary
While it is difficult for one person to make a significant difference in education, the cumulative effect of one dental office and its clients can make a difference for at least one school. Over the past few months, Dr. Hadley collected school supplies at his office in preparation for the new school year to help students at George E. Harris Elementary School. With school budgets tight and many family budgets even tighter, it can be hard to provide notebooks, pencils, art and crafts equipment and other learning supplies. Getting your kids ready for school isn’t cheap! Haircuts, new shoes and clothes… the list goes on. But with your help, Dr. Hadley has helped ensure the the kids at George E. Harris have the tools they need to learn.
Backpacks, Binders, Calculators and More Needed
Dr. Hadley donated many items that students need to get through their school day to Harris Elementary on Aug. 21, and those items include important calculators, ring binders for homework, backpacks for carrying items to and from school and countless other items very much needed by Harris Elementary pupils. And while the dropoff already has happened. Dr. Hadley encourages to help supply Harris Elementary and other local schools to keep them supplied with the tools needed to ensure students continue to learn more.
